THE ODE TO RADIO
As the world speeds forward
thru the vast canyons of the digital highway
the original wireless is hardwired
into our cultural consciousness.
The one constant through
all the years has been Radio.
The theater of the mind:
It stimulates our imaginations
and takes us places where anything is possible.
It connects the past with the future;
reminding us all,
that a story well told will keep us captivated.
And a song played at the perfect moment
will hold our heart.
It takes us outside of ourselves
even when we are alone in our own thoughts.
Radio is alive!
It ‘can make you excited, rile you up,
have you dancing in your living room ,
or make you a rock star in your car.
It is the sound of life.
Radio magic makes little business big,
and big business personal.
A radio broadcast has the alchemy
to possess the moment
that is the one bonded point
of human communication.
